I've been asking this question to some users. I thought that everything after 1981 (at least for Maiden) has copyrights on it for it to be official. However, recently I purchased a 4 piece patch set from the official Iron Maiden webshop and guess what...No copyright mentioned on each of them, neither on the back. I'm not sure how this is for back patches though, but personally I rather stick with the ones with copyright because it's sure those are official.
I'm curious what other (Maiden) collectors think as well.
