Here is a side by side comparison of the two Dismember: Massive Killing Capacity patches that are out there, to help people distinguish between the two.
The vintage patch is on the left, notice how shiny the thread is with hints of silver. On the right is the re-issue / bootleg (I'm still not sure what it is exactly), which is a tad smaller and slightly less detailed. It is easy to confuse these two while staring at blurry eBay photos. The easiest way to tell is by looking at the crosshairs on the skeleton's forehead: the vintage patch has two rings, while the re-issue only has one ring.
All said and done, the boot/re-issue is quite well done and had me fooled for years!

Hail!
I know that a lot of official patches have been reissue for a long time over and over, like Pleasure to kill for exemple, but the company never change the copyright date on the bottom of the patch.
Isn't the same thing here?
Like it's an official patch but with the wrong copyright?
Cheers!

I believe you are correct Miteux. It looks official to my eyes, and is consistant with the official patches from 2003-onward, it just doesn't match the patches from the early 90s in terms of detail and weaving technique.

Yep exactly,
I always wonder how they make them back in the days,
Is the machine that they used make all the difference?
Anyways this vintage one is absolutly sikk!

I would love to find someone who was involved in the production of some of our favorite vintage gems and unlock the mysteries of how they were woven into existance!

the eyes are also a big difference, while on the OG one its blue glitter while on the boot its just blue

Good eyes (haha) that's another distinguishing feature. Again, very subtle, but if you look at the patch long enough it becomes apparent.

that was the first difference i saw, didnt rly notice the 2 rings on the forehead until i red your post
