Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth [Backpatch, Grey Version, 1992]

An odd piece in my collection. Grey edition of the Butchered at Birth backpatch, copyright 1992.
Bought this from someone years before I considered putting serious work into collecting and archival, so I never asked the seller for the story behind this backpatch.

I at first thought this to be a custom backpatch made from a shirt and some felt backing, but upon closer inspection professional borders like the ones found on regular vintage backpatches are present (at least partially, segments are quite damaged) and have simply been folded over before sewing this backpatch on. So, maybe it was sold like this. Of course it is also possible the original owner got someone with a machine to add a border back in the day.

In any case I think the grey background works really well and I like this backpatch a lot. Not for sale.
