HI! Why is it not allowed to sell original Bolt Thrower Shirts on ebay? They call it "interllectual property" ! Since when are T Shirts interllectual property? Fuck ebay and FUCK Bolt Thrower!
Been a thing for a long time now…they have some lawyer watch the listings and even official merch gets flagged and taken down, never heard of this from any other band kind of crazy especially since the band is no more
Is it really? I've never seen a BT listing getting taken down neither bootleg nor original. And I've never heard that they take down original merch because why would they?
And just for the record: I've contacted eBay directly about two separate listings of fake cenotaph patches (with copyright!!!) which were offered and in one case sold for a price that only an original would fetch. Wasn't declared in the description obviously that they were fakes.
And even after multiple tries for eBay to reevaluate they came to the conclusion that the listings didn't violate their rules (which they obviously did smh).
So in conclusion: No, they don't take it seriously anymore and I don't think BT lawyers are still active in this regard because they disbanded long ago
BT used to take a very strict stance against bootlegs; I don't know if they still do that today.
But there shouldn't be any issues with official merchandise.
Which shirts are we talking about?
In all fairness though: They used to have the most reasonable prices for their official merch of all bands around. On their 2014 tour their shirts were 12 (!) Euros. Ridiculously cheap.
A few years later we saw Motörhead, where the Shirts were 60 and of course we do not need to start with Manowar.
756,055 items in the gallery, 936,750 comments, and 321 items have changed hands in the last month.
Guess this TShirt!

Karl Willetts occasionally sells old merch on eBay here in the UK. I have bought stuff from him in the past.
