Anybody know where I can find a pair of boots like this with a steel plate, or very similar?
I've been talking to this company for about 3 years through email to get one custom without a steel cap to no avail.
Most places here in Australia I think don't allow entry to gigs with steel cap.
You can try a few different places, a few goth retailers, Alpinestars or MSR. If you are Australian you can look for some 2nd hand Gen 2 Alpinestar Hi-points on facebook marketplace or Ebay. These are also the same type of boot worn by Jim Goose in Mad Max 1 (albeit they are slightly modified).
Your search reminded me of when I had some Axo Turbo boots that I customized to look similar to the ones Glen Benton wore in his years before he burned his forehead with religious propaganda.
I bought them a few times around the year 2000. They looked cool, but always broke very quickly.
The sole always broke through. Not recommended in terms of quality.
i have a pair of elsinore icon boots and there extremely similar to hipoints but only like 200 USD and the steel plate isnt on it (showing at least its under some leather) there really comfy highly reccomend

You can just purchase them and remove it DIY style and save the plates for something else, or to put back on the boots for after gigs

Thank you,
Possibly however it's probably not recommended. I know the company themselves don't recommend this way, and also won't do it for you. Cheers 🙂

Yeah I've read that about this company that the quality isn't the best. I was thinking a double sole when customised if I was to go ahead with them
