One totally killer album in Darkness Descends vs a great, precocious debut and two varied but still solid follow ups = Win for Death Angel. Best ‘Angel’ band is Morbid Angel though.
But…. I love the ultra violence !!! Killer album . I only love 1 album from each got em both when they come out . Dark angels darkness descends is just way above most thrash records in both quality and amazingness .

Death Angel due nostalgic reasons. I heard Dark Angel much later and it didn't make that big an impression on me anymore - I was in full black metal mode by then.

I like both bands. Seen both bands live. Own their albums. Ron vocals live suck. Never got to see Don sing. Mark is a better singer live.
