Eloy - Floating

I’ve only casually been aware of Eloy’s late 70s/early 80s traditional prog output. Recently, I’ve been exploring their catalog and came across this monster of an album, Floating. Released in 1974 (‘75 in America), Floating is an intense affair that lies somewhere between Purple and Heep. There’s also some extremely nightmarish passages reminiscent of what Mercyful Fate and Death SS would be doing a decade later, particularly on the epic “The Light From Deep Darkness”.
