I just wanna know the easiest way to put on a bullet belt and off. I recently got mine and I'm having some trouble. They fit is snug and i tried to push a bullet on the link thing against the table put it broke (the tip got pushed in). So I wanna know an easy way to put a bullet belt on and of.
I have enough bullets. I have extra even. What I meant is that when you take the bullets ut and in to put the belt on its kinda hard since they fit thight in the link thing
I always snap mine together/snap it open. Though with my tipless belt, the links are different so the only way to open is push one out. I agree with what's said above - always open with the same bullet, gets easier over time.
I have this belt: http://studsandspikes.com/buy/m16-223-bullet-belt-full-brass-w-x-link.html
And to take it off I usually grab around the tips and put my thumb and the flat end, not on it, then pull up so it twists off. Usually very easy to take off. Putting it back on I just use strength to snap it back together.
In terms of being too tight, as TThrasher said, it'll loosen up over time. Mine was super tight when I first got it, to the point where I'd have indentation of bullets on my hips, but now I can't get it to stop sliding down into my back pockets...

You guys are lucky to live in countries where bullet belts are legal.
Fuck this shit, I'm moving someday.
Just wear one anyway! I know a few guys that have them and I'm getting myself one soon, I've never heard of anybody having any trouble with them. I know they're a pain in the ass to get through customs but as far as I know, it's not actually illegal to wear them (though I could be 100% wrong on this haha!)

I'm not sure about the legality. I know out east they're relatively common.
The main stickler is that I'm not sure if I'll be living in Australia long term (I'm a foreign student).
I WILL buy one (or a few) when I know I will be living in the same place for a while.
Are you by any chance in Melb?

I eBay knives occasionally so I know the import regulations fairly well.
The criteria is that the shells have to be proved to have been rendered permanently non-functional.
The belt WILL most likely be confiscated by customs in any case, but you can appeal and prove that it is non-functional.
Or if you have an importer's license... which is only really worth it if you sell them as a business.
My bullet belt is an old school M60, like Destruction or Quorthon wore, with real inert shells with the long tips. To adjust the size, I have to push out the bullet by placing the tip against the floor ( I have carpeting ) and pushing on the flat part until it slides out. Never snap it out, youll bend the metal plates holding the bullet to the other ones.
To put it on, I literally step into it and pull it up my legs, finally adjusting it to my hips. Its alot of work, and its really heavy, to be honest, but I love it.
use pliers to loosen one of the bullet links so that it comes off easier, but don't make it too loose. You'd also want to mark the bullet by the link somehow, so that it's easier to find the loose link.

Pushing one of the shells out and putting it back in. That's really the only way.

But is there a way to loosen it? So it's not so tight. It's a really tight fit
TThrasher on
Not sure. I guess you could buy more bullets and attach them so it's bigger. I don't know where you got yours. Did they have bigger sizes?

Oh, it will loosen over time.

It's supposed all bullet belts have a golden bullet which is the one that works as a buckle, and by far the easiest one to take off.

Usually there is one that's not so tight, maybe a different colored tip as the mark?
no, that'll mean its a tracer bullet, usually. ;)

Just use raw power and sometimes pliers if it is very tight. Also always using the same bullet for attaching helps in longer period.
