Hi guys, perhaps this topic has already been addressed before but I wasn't able to find it. I have a bunch of patches that I plan to put onto a new faux leather vest that I recently bought. I was wondering what was the quickest way to put them on.
1. Is sewing it onto the jacket the best option? Does this damage the leather in any way?
2. Are there any good leather adhesives that a cloth patch would be compatible with? I don't mind if it is permanent.
3. Does superglue, fevibond or similar Cyanoacrylate-based adhesives work with patches and faux leather? This seems to be the best and easiest options. Again, I don't mind the permanent implications this has on my layout.

I recommend sewing. Although there will be some visible needle holes in the leather if you ever decide to remove the patches. At least that's the case with real leather. The needle holes can't be seen if you don't look closely.

Yup, I am aware of that but I'd rather DIY and glue it on honestly as the tailors take a god awful long time here to stitch it on and often mess up the layout. Are there any adhesive options?

Hahaha, tailors? What...

Why don't you sew the patches on yourself? I don't know about any adhesive options. I wouldn't use them myself to be honest.

sewing... glue sucks and will come off quick.....

Use the glue to keep them in place then sew over them. Pretty much the best approach to it if you don't want to take it to a tailor.

Yea, glue and sew. If you glue, the stitching wont have to be very small, so it shouldn't take too long to DIY. The easiest way to sew on leather is to pre-punch the hole in the leather with a nail, awl or something like that, and then use a relatively blunt needle to go thru the holes.

I use leather needle. It works just fine. I have to use thimble to get through some thicker parts though. Oh and using thicker yarn is also recommended for leather.
