I tried a fabric glue I found and it just hardened and made my jacket stiff.I guess I'm going to end up sewing them on but I have 25-30 and that's more sewing than I want to do.
yeah depending on the size and placement. 15 minutes is quite decent when you get the hang of it. i generaly get sick of at after like 5 patches, so that would be around 5 days to finish if i take my time.
If you're anything like me, and constantly changing the layout of your jacket, I wouldn't recommend gluing them! it's a real pain in the arse to get them off without damaging them! Sewing is easy to learn, and it's quite satisfying when you've done a tidy job :)
Also, sewing is part of the ritual of making a battlejacket. Its part of the process that makes it all more worth it cuz of the time and dedication it takes. Ur jacket will be even more valuable to u when ur done cuz of the effort u put into it. Be patient, its worth it!

Yeah,i figured it was the best way to go but do you know how long that will take?

Depends how good you are haha, I use glue myself one jacket I used spikes in corners in patches, and current one I'm working on double capped rivets.

one per day = 25-30 days

I think I can do better than that.I can easily sew 3 to 4 patches a day,if not more.

Sew man! Takes quite a bit of time, patience, and dedication. When you're done you'll look at it and say, "Yeah, I did that".
No easy way out!

It´s even more personal with the blood you loss while you're learning to sew them on.

The real joy is getting the needle through the seams of the jacket. Sore fingers for days. I would never glue, that is too permanent.

embroidered iron on patches + seam + inside pocket = a whole new way of cursing.
