Man, guess I'm lucky. My dad was real into metal and introduced me to bands like Metal Church, Megadeth, and Saxon (as well as Mortification when I was real little.)

My mom likes more the glam side of metal, but she never has had any problem whatsover with my love for thrash. In fact she once mentioned that she saw Kreator on the Pleasure to Kill tour.

sadly my parents and sister really don't like metal, so I always have to use headphones while my mother plays her katie melua albums on top volume x'D

but just try to hide your stuff, be creative and search for te lats place your mother will look, I know of onde dude who customized his mattres, so he could zip it open

Wow, that sucks. My dad actually gave me his old jean jacket, my mom didn't want me to cut the sleeves off but my dad made me and bought me a whole bunch of patches. My dad's freakin metal and my mom hates it lol. You had an awesome jacket by the way... before your mom wrecked it all. Sorry dude

My mom threw it away because I got a ticket from the cops for drinking with my buddies. She also trashed by band shirts (over 50), all my CD's, aaaand my posters. But she had been nagging me to stop wearing my denim and band shirts because she doesn't think it's very 'feminine' -__- I need some patches /:

WTF is wrong with her i know im late to this but im losing it hearing all this my mom tried something like that once but then she tried to get me out of my room while doing it and tripped on my weights and she slid down the front of my shirt and fell on the ground all awkward so we both just busted out laughing at it and she apologized for being to harsh bout it. as for my dad he was a nu metal fan when he was younger so he understands and will often jam to my music at work cause he thought of me........

This is a sad post, sorry to hear you all had this happen to you. Yes, and like Congelamento said, lock up your rooms guys! I am glad this never happened to me, I always lived with my dad growing up, and he never touched anything of mine. Never cared either honestly, and now I'm 21 and he really doesn't care! haha!
