Motherfucker I didn't know how to sew when I started out! What you do is, you figure out, or that's what I did... if you can't dedicate yourself enough to do that to show your colours then I think you shouldn't bother showing them at all.
In my opinion that's what you should tell your friends if they ask you to sew FOR them. Teach them how to instead.

not everyone could do it. you need lots of patient. I know plany of metal heads whos had someone else sew they're patches. theres nothing wrong with that.

Also, making someone else sew your patches is not always the smartest thing to do, my friend's grandma sewed one of his patches on upside down :D
