Your drowning the light patch is upside down
Into Glory Ride on
hahahaha!
kalki999 on
Did it on purpose... since I am a Christian and DTL is too, but he doesn't know it yet ;-)
Into Glory Ride on
That's... interesting, to say the least.
I am not per se antichristian (Unless it is a Margot Käßmann Christianity, that is.) , in fact mainstream antichristianity in "our scene" is in most of the cases extremely dumb and dull. But i cannot really understand how that goes together with a Wotan's eye, a Burzum Patch, and an Algiz Rune. Also a Rune that does not know yet, that it is a crooked cross? Or esoteric and exoteric belief?
Together with the "Vegan" Patch this altogether makes for a very strange combination....
kalki999 on
...your comment is also very intertesting! I really did not expect to have a philosophical conversation about a battle-jacket ;-)
I believe that each tradition shares the same origin and the same principle... all religions and doctrines are merely different ways to express one common metaphysical Truth. Meaning that there is no harm in combining symbols which on a worldly plane might be contradictory, but on a higher plane represent the same and exact thing... and this is also the main difference between the exoteric and esoteric point of view. And being charitable towards our fellow creatures and nature in general is at the heart of every religion, doctrine and lore... unfortunately everybody forgot about that nowadays!
Into Glory Ride on
Ha, i would not yet call it a philosophical conversation, but perhaps a starter... I am just always interested, when people put symbols on their jackets, vests etc., if it is out of pure fashion (which i do not approve) or because of a meaning, same as Tattoos basically.
That sounds a bit like a perennial approach to philosophy/systems/symbols / Philosophia Perennis, interesting. In that matter i can understand (and accept) it, though i am always a bit skeptical about the idea that every religion is equal. Islam (unless it is some mystical form like Sufi) is a very materialistic religion for example, basically promising eternal erections and busty virgins as a reward, whereas i see more Spirituality in other religions. But i did not delve too much into all that to form/give a solid/sophisticated opinion. Nevertheless it interests me.

It's nice to meet someone, who knows of the Sophia Perennis!!!
As for the busty virgins I guess you mean that often misinterpreted passage of the al-Naba, which translated accurately actually means: "Truly the reverent shall have a place of triumph, gardens and vineyards, buxom maidens of like age and an overflowing cup." The 72 virgins and the eternal erections, which are commonly referred to, are not mentioned in the Quran... but are a later addition coming from the Hadith literature. Merely the full breasts are mentioned, which actually means that the heavenly concubine will not suffer the vicissitudes of time. Nonetheless many outsiders criticize the Quran for its sensuous descriptions of the delights in the hereafter as if they were just a sublimation of earthly joys and pleasures. In reality every joy and delight here below, especially sexuality, which is sacred for Islam, is the reflection of a paradisal prototype, not vice versa.
Somehow this paradise even looks a little like the valhalla with its abundance of mead and meat...

Finally manage to answer. As we shall keep it solely about Metal here, i will probably write You a Private Message later, when i find time. Much easier in my mother tongue anyway.
Either way, interesting thoughts here.

Hi there, thanks for the kind words... I guess you mean the small patch left to the "A&P" one... this is a BURZUM affiliated Odalism patch, which was made by the same people who did the "Wotan's Eye" patch back in the 1990s. Cheers and all the best from G

Full flames for the Vegan patch.
I would really like to see this patch on your vest: https://tshirtslayer.com/patch/burzum-burzum-patch There's something about the vest that just makes me feel that patch this would go well there.
kalki999 on
You're right... that's definitely the most beautiful Burzum artwork.

Nater90 on
Some really great taste mate! And great that you can like bands that are different to beliefs of your own but still respect them for the music! Not enough people I know personally do that.
kalki999 on
Thanks... totally with you about respecting beliefs!
Nater90 on
Most welcome.

This might be one of the sickest vests I've seen on here. Carbonized, Winter, Cadaver, Autopsy.. too many awesome patches to list.
