I know those generic Amazon patches are cheap and easy, but honestly I feel like it just makes a vest look.... Soulless? The best jackets are the ones where you can tell the owner put time and love into it.
I'm not here to shame you though. I get that merch can be expensive. Just work on it little by little. Maybe start with a backpatch? You don't even need an actual patch, just find an old shirt to cut up and sew on. It'll look unique and will instantly elevate your jacket. Then you can slowly swap/add/remove patches over time as you get them. Studs and spikes are also dirt cheap and easy ways to add character.
You're already elevated yourself above the generic black-shirt-metal-fan. Now take the extra step and join the elite battle-jacket-wearing, Mosh-pit-starting, big-titty-sucking metalheads 🤘💀🤘
