Anthrax The back of my sons vest

Heres the back of my sons vest - the front hasnt been started yet and once its finished, ill post a photo of it. He sewed the AC/DC, Kreator and Anthrax STD patches on himself - the rest i did because the locations made them a little hard from him to do. We both think its looking killer so far. Its not at patch intensive as both of my vests but i told him to show some denim around the patches - its more of a classic look - and if he wants to replace the patches for others, it makes swapping them a lot easier.

This is his new one - his old one with the Ride the Lightning back patch is packed away. Its to small for him now. But i dont want to pull it apart - i want to keep it as a keep sake. We both like this one too - its coming along nicely.

I never had that either with either of my parents. I always said to myself that I want to have great communication with my son and actually take interest in what he finds interesting - no matter what it is.

It shits me when people call those earlier albums by 'tallica - I call them that at Black album and later - when they changed for the worse - those first 4 are by Metallica. He's like me I guess, can't choose a favourite out of those first 4. My favourite depends on the day - one day I'd say MoP, on another I'd say RTL, and so on - if you get what I mean.

I was surprised when he said he wanted a Queen patch. I love Queen but never thought about putting a patch on my vests. I’m happy I found this one. Its different and a great looking patch.

Yeah, you're right. I love Queen, too, they play some of the greatest music ever, but I have never thought of putting them on my Kutte, as well. But I should definetely consider that now!

When he said he wanted a new vest i asked him what bands he wanted on there - so we wrote a list of all his fav metal bands. I have a patch from most of the bands on that list - there are still a couple i need to find for him - he wants a Nuclear Assault patch and considering the prices they go for, this one might take some time to find. Im still waiting on the Black Sabbath patch i bought for him to arrive.

nuclear assault is one of my personal favorites! and i ony JUST got one of their official patches after like 3-4 years of trying to get one, it cost me wayyy too much :S but i love them ever so much and was willing to pay the price!

I’ve got myself a Handle with Care patch and I was luckily enough to score it for a reasonable price a few years back. My son said he wants a Survive patch - My wallet got hunger pains when he said that. I’m thinking about getting the original red logo patch instead. It sells for a more reasonable price than Survive. I scored him 2 awesome patches the other week – a amazing Jimi Hendrix patch and a killer Black Sabbath patch. When they arrive ill post pics.

I gave him the choice of one of my Helloween patches - the I Want Out patch or the circular pumpkin drummer patch. He chose the I Want Out one cos he likes that song.
