Vintersorg - Cosmic Genesis 2000
Tue, 09/09/2014 - 08:18Vintersorg - Cosmic Genesis 2000 , one on the best and beautiful records I ever heard,Cosmic Genesis is the third full-length album by the Swedish progressive/folk metal band Vintersorg. It was released on November 3, 2000. The album signaled a move away from the folk metal of the previous two albums to progressive, as well as lyrical themes, now mostly written in English, moving towards cosmos as opposed to nature and paganism.
If you haven't heard this I strongly recommend you.
With the advent of Cosmic Genesis, the lyrics were now written and sung mostly in English, and now dealt with scientific ideas such as astronomy and cosmology, philosophies such as metaphysics, and other ideas such as astrology. In the Cosmic Genesis booklet, Vintersorg extends thanks to Dr. Carl Sagan, author of the book Cosmos.

Never seen this shirt before. As always, not a big fan of track lists on the back. But the front looks pretty nice. The bands last truly great album in my opinion.
