Most of this remains a vague memory. What stood out was Peter Steele playing an acoustic contra bass as a guitar.
I was/am not a fan of Dog Eat Dog but the singer took out a surfboard and actually "Crowd Surfed". Pretty original.
Paradise Lost was a total sing along fest :)
It was a great festival but they should have kept it more "Metal" it fell on it's face when they started doing the "Skate Bands" which later progressed into New Metal.
That festival was awesome...Nailbomb killed! Tiamat played a great show in the tent and two headliners were simply amazing. Did you know that Korn played one of their first shows there?
That was an amazing edition; 120.000 people packed together, just insane...killer bands like My Dying Bride, Skyclad, Type O Negative.... some good memories coming up seeing this shirt... yeah, i miss Dynamo and Waldrock: it was more then just some events; it was a tradition, an annual ritual....
I celebrated my 20th birthday there in 1995 (June 3rd). Oh man the Dynamo was always great! How many of you still know the old Dynamo Club in Eindhoven? Killer place too.
