I was indeed. :) I was really really impressed, because they were just not that important band for me (I own Damage Done and The Gallery) but atn this gig i really enjoyed them and now have the plan to discover them more. Right now i am listening to Skydancer and am quite blewn away, this is how i like Melodic Death / Black Metal.

in skidancer the singer is Anders Friden...after gone to In Flames ;) .... so you like In Flames :)

What is much more interesting: I did not know that Anders used to be the Vocalist for Hammerfall. A dude on the fest told me that.

uhmm.. the exchange between InFlames/DarkTranquillity/Hammerfall is very Tricky (is like a telenovelas story)
Mikael Stanne was first guitarist and voice of IN FLAMES (Lunar Strain),and also first singer of HAMMERFALL (before the release of Glory to the Brave) and is actual singer in DARK TRANQUILLITY, also the actual guitarist of DT Nicholas Sundin was in Hammerfall before the release of GttB.
Jesper Strombald was guitarist IN FLAMES but also played drums in first album of HAMMERFALL.
Anders Friden has recorded the screaming voice in Skydancer of DT (while the clean voice is Stanne), and after gone to IN FLAMES.
And so on....
Take into consideration that all those guys have the same age and live in gotheburg and were friends.
Anyway, if i'm not wrong Anders has never been in Hammerfal, maybe your friend refers to Stanne.

Hahaha, thanks for the enlightenment, really! I just have no ideas of the Lineups of either In Flames or Dark Tranquillity at all. The only thing i knew was the story about Mr. Strömblad.
Of course the dude meant Stanne. He showed me a Video, which for me actually showed
what Hammerfall could have been!

I do love the first two Hammerfall (after that they are not relevant for me anymore, besides the new one is quite good again actually), but Cannes has such a ...thin and rather weak Voice. Also on the Warlord Cover.
It is remarkable, yes for sure, but i just prefer strong Vocals with Cojones (which does not mean Growls)

yes Cans is good but not among the favourite of mine singers, i really prefer Kursh, i like the dirty tone of his voice

Ok, i understand what You mean i think. This was more characteristic of his voice in the early days of Guardian. Today i fear this is just the result of him not able to sing the higher notes anymore.
But Hansi for me is just incarnation of the good guy from the neighborhood, so i found that characterization rather strange, hahaha
