Ancient Ascendant are a local band who have gone from a heavier and more interesting version of Opeth to some other kind of prog death I don't really have a reference for in the year or so I've known about them. They've been signed recently and this is the shirt for their debut album.

great band, i have the Path to heaven promo, and they played my home town of Reading before they were signed... have yet to hear the new album tho.

Yeah, I somehow ended up with every CD (I think) they did after that and two shirts! Not complaining though, they deserve support :) I haven't listened to the new album enough to make a proper judgement on it yet, but I do like it - lots of good solid songwriting.

I saw it in hmv today, but i'd gone in for the new Skeleton witch, and money is limited.
i'm wondering if the rest of the world has yet to hear Ancient ascendant, as they're British underground still
