Summoning- Lugburs

in short, this album is incredibly overlooked and deserves to be re-assessed by fans of Summoning even if it doesn't really sound like something they would churn out. The overall sound is completely different and may come as a shock to those who want more Minas Morgul or Stronghold, but to me this is a welcome change in pace - traveling from Stronghold to Lugburz can be quite the rewarding experience as both albums feature their own fill of wonderful ideas and vast soundscapes that keep the music engaging and interesting at all turns. The blackened, folky atmosphere is wonderful on this album and I can't help but wonder how the band might have evolved had they decided to stick with this sound.
