ya know guys. people actually gave up tapes for a reason. they warped in heat. they got chewed up by the player now and then... awful memories...

fuckno, they gave it up cuz tapes are not "cool" and "with it" anymore hahaha. from most of the tapes I have, I made copies. I'd much rather use the copy so I don't have those worries.

Blüdrayne's picture

no srsly dude. i used them lots when i was a kid. they warp horribly in the heat. and they jam. im not even talking about the supposed better audio quality of CDs. tapes are fragile man...

nothing can take away that awesome feeling a tape gives me, dude. :P if the copy fucks up, I'll just make another one :P don't care much about cd's.

ShieldbitersValhalla's picture

Very good idea, always use copies, and preserve original.

I agree, along with VHS a completely obsolete and shitty format, nothing to do with not being "cool" or "hip" or whatever bullshit. But everyone has their perversions of course!

Awesome. Cassette players are a lot harder to find than I thought. When I was looking for mine, I went to a bunch of stores in one day, all the stores telling me another store should have them. I said fuck that, and I went and got something even better from eBay, a cassette capture converter from China hahaha. Tapes are just so magical. I am going to build a collection.

Awesome! I still have my cassette player from 10 years ago but sadly no metal tapes to play on it...
