Fuck yes!!! Australia has some amazing bands, I know like 30 or so, But am finding more and more over time.

Personal favourites would have to be Lightless & Psycroptic.

Over the last year or so I've been getting into the Aussie releases a lot more than the overseas stuff, the more I dig the more I have found, I cannot go past Misery as my favourite Aussie metal band.

Yeah I'm trying to get more myself, Misery are pretty solid! Check out The Amenta - Flesh Is Heir

Lucky bastard!! I'd love to see them, The vocals and drumming are brilliant, I asked Dave Haley last year if there is a chance of another tour he said no at this stage.

Sensational collection mate! Especially those Misery's original CDs, and Armoured Angel's ones, and Manticore!
BTW, where is the digipak cover of AA's Stigmartyr?

Cheers mate, yeah those Misery CDs are gems, because I keep my collection in sleeves due to having small space etc I only have the discs and the booklets etc, as long as I have those I'm happy. I would love to get my hands on Manticore's second full length, but it is extremely hard to find.

Some really nice stuff.. please tell me you have added blood duster to this collection :)

I think there are some really cool new Thrash bands coming from Australia currently also. SO its nice to see Australia still producing metal acts!

rusty74's picture

mate, i have lots to add to this collection including early Blood Duster stuff, i think the Aussie scene right now is nearly as strong as the early to mid 90's, there are heaps of great thrash, death, and black metal bands im finding out about, great times.

I think your right. If I was 18 to 25 I would be love being a metal head in Australia right now. (what are some of the good new death bands you like.. I need to sus some out)

Cause I grew up in the 90's it will always be a special time for me
