Iron Maiden Debut album Cast metal badge

A bit of a puzzle this one. I have never seen another badge exactly like this one. It is similar to some of the other 'Monkey Face' badges but it has a finer sculpt and casting showing more detail and expression.

It is missing the back pin and the logo (which attached to the top of the head) the seller said that it was in this condition when it was in their collection back in 1985, as they got it second hand. Back then he was told that it was a rare badge

Does anyone have a complete one of these? Does anyone have any info.
