I know there's a similar looking version from thailand which probably is a boot, but it doesnt have the tour dates etc.

I have a friend who has the same except his border is actually embroidered on. This one is full woven inc. the border. Did a bit of research and found that when TH played in Bangkok, there was a show where the first 100 people to get in got a limited patch.
