WANTED (..since my copy got poached by Giova)

I bought this patch for GBP 25 on eBay UK (see the screenshot below). You might agree that this is quite a fair deal, and I guess these are the catches a true collector spends way too much time on the Internet for.

The patch, however, never arrived, and the seller was eager to tell me stories on its whereabouts that got more and more ridiculous by the minute.

Now I found out that the patch indeed traveled, and quite a distance I would say. It turns out that Giova decided he wanted the patch more than I did. So he apparently contacted the seller and drowned him in money to breach contract and tell me lies.Now he has uploaded the patch on this very website and brags with it, like a true hero.

I know that collecting merch or records has traits of an obsession. And even though the seller is also responsible for this sham, this crosses a line.

I am looking for the black border SAS stripe. I know that I won't get it for GBP 25 again, but well.. I've got some nice patches to trade it for, just hit me up. In the meantime, I think you all should now how I lost one of the rarest patches out there.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you mate. It seemed like you had your lucky break until he decided to put all etiquette and shame aside to rob you from your catch. We all hope for these lucky moments, and surely many of us had, but it I'm quite depressed to see that this fellow collector, who has a magnificent collection himself(!), became greedy and resorted to such childish and despicable tactics to get what he wanted.

Although Gio blocked me because we couldn't see eye to eye when it came trading, I knew him as a kind guy and legit collector, but this is very disappointing!

That's a raw deal, man. I know we can all relate. Like you said, it's an obsessive hobby and we all enjoy the thrill of the hunt. A breach of contract is a bad look for a seller, but I can't imagine he's the only one to throw etiquette aside for a few extra bucks.

He did the same to me with the JP Rock Hard Ride Free backpatch, so I imagine he does it every time he can and finds a seller who is of his ilk. He's a guy to avoid, I have been doing it myself since he started with patches. He used to post on FB patches that other people had advertised on ebay, of course asking for a higher price. When he found a buyer and after getting the money, he simply bought the patch on ebay and told the seller that he should send it to the unwary person's address to make a few quid, very sad. He must be convinced he's a genius but in reality it's a miserable attitude and time puts us all in our place.
