These are by far the best quality you can buy. Especially because you hear a lot of bad things about Docs these days (because they already have Made In Taiwan written in them) :D
Solovair is a very respectable company whose products are worth every penny they charge for their products. Extremely comfortable and very strong boots.

"As a generalization our Goodyear welted footwear runs a half size larger than other brands, therefore we would recommend purchasing a half size smaller than your regular/typical size. If a style doesn't offer half sizes our cushioned insoles or socks will provide a half size extra fitting. For Shearling lined footwear we would recommend purchasing true to size. Solovair Sneakers are true to size."

Well, in MY opinion, steel toe boots should not be bought to fit your feet perfectly, but you need a little extra space so that you can stuff them inside, in places where it causes blisters on your feet, and to be able to put extra insoles inside. But regardless of the fact that the boot is made of thick leather and has strong stitching, it is very comfortable and fits your feet right away (if you buy the right size). So in summary, I don't think it's worth buying a smaller size, rather the true size of your foot.
