This is just special. I keep Over Kill close to my heart. I always felt they should have been part of the Big 4. Even Testament for that matter. Not to discredit Anthrax, but I felt Over Kill had more balls !!! I was so happy to get that ' Feel The Fire ' tour poster a short while back. You don't see those everyday. I love that very first fold out. Looks like a fanzine centerfold. Really early stuff. The tour posters and flats are killer !
We both need that ' Under the Influence ' tour ad w/Slayer. Great post man !!!
Overkill is definitely better than Anthrax. I use to be really into them, but they lost staying power. “Taking Over” was my first and is still my favorite album along with “Feel the Fire”. As for Anthrax, it’s all about “Spreading the Disease” and “Fistful of Metal” when they kept more of the traditional metal sound before the hardcore/crossover influences started taking effect. I do like “Among the Living” but it’s played out for me now.
Yeah, I know exactly what ad you’re speaking of. That “Under the Influence “ flat has eluded me for ages. Thanks!
