I got a bunch of shit for making art and sending it to Fearless Records.
I feel like I don't fit the "scene" or whatever for this band but they are excellent. It was listening to them that got me through breaking up with my girlfriend and caused me to dig into a bunch of complex emotions about self/image/music that I'm not clever enough to articulate. Basically, they made me realize I'm sick of this "trying to be a normal adult" shit and cut the nose: smudged eyes, black hair, deathhawk, battlejacket... It was a fun year. Also made me get real about how achingly heartsick being away from concerts for a DECADE made me and start exploring the local metal scene, which surprised the hell out of me and led to seeing a lot of FOLK metal bands I've loved for years. Stupidly enough, I did miss these guys when they came through Minnesota.
