This has been on my purchase list for a long time. Finally was able to find a reasonably priced copy from Fryktos Burnings very recently. This is a very nice compilation of some of this iconic Belgian artist's countless works. I've already started exploring the works of some of the featured bands I'm unfamiliar with, haha.
Woooooo finally something I do have hahaha, amazing book, I got it with the plan of making my projects logo, turns out I still can't draw for shit so got Emu (Utter Chaos) to design one for me.
Its a shame really for these bands with so much creativity to outsource what will be a very keenly noticeable attribute to some dude who does em all. You are right...Mediocrity.
Remember him sitting behind a table at gigs. You could just walk up and have him draw a logo on the spot. Only thing he asked for at the time was some copies of the releases you'd use the logo on. I wonder if Emperor still sends him copies.
Btw.Talking about late eigthies early nineties Death Metal i believe Martin van Drunen from Asphyx also couldnt get along with Norwegian Black Metal scene, and Euronymous in special.However...they had their latest artwork done by Erik Danielson from Watain.I think its a weird choice considering Martin in special had a large dislike for Black Metal.
Yes, I believe not all members were on same level coming to their beliefs.I most recently saw their old guitarist who is playing in Soulburn nowadays wearing a Pentagram pendant.

There's a lot of mediocrity without a doubt. I'd still like to check out more of these bands.

Wow. I think the reason he did that was so he could create a logo that perfectly matched the cover art.
