This is a really good album...
I remember the first time i listened to melechesh was because i bought a comp called "tribute to hell".

I never heard tribute to hell. Will try and get it. First album I heard from these guys was As Jerusalem burns. Someone shoved me a cd when it just came. That person said. Here you go, you might like. Been a fan ever since :)

Its from fullmoon productions ( the label that released as jerusalem burns i believe). It featured a bunch of unreleased songs (back then) from mayhem, mysticum, thy primordial, etc...

hmmm maybe I have it. I remember buying those compilation cds just to get to know new bands. There was no other way back then. Time to open my cd boxes :) Btw, my fav is epigenesis from them. But Sphynx slays too :)

don't remember firestarter. We had BraveWords I used to buy together with a magazine. They always had some compilations. Thats how I discovered Rotting Christ, Samael and others. I think Blackened is another. Many Black Metal band were there.

Firestarter was a century black (century media) comp. it included emperor, sacramentum, ulver, mayhem, tiamat.... it was very cheap 3.99 or something like that. And it had a great layout with bands biographies...
i used to buy bravewoRds whenever i was in the states.in mexico we only had metal maniacs and unrestrained.

I remember Metal Maniacs :) Went Downtown once a month to get Maniacs & Bravewords. I remember those days when it was hard to find anything or find out about new bands. Yet felt so cool. No one knew & had no chance to find out what the hell I am listening too :) Mr Obscure :)
