Yes the Concrete album is the demo for Soul of a new Machine, some of their songs ended up on their first album too.

Yes it's the more Death Metal influenced FF sound, when i head their first album i remembered a lot Napalm Death for example, Burton C. Bell's vocals remind me a lot of Mark "Barney" Greenway's style of vocals on the first album.
