try flipping it to the other side and upload it, if its uploaded straight then, its fine, if its uploaded the way you flipped it, try putting it straight again and upload again. just keep playing with it. i've had moments where i had to try multiple times too. at some point it will be allright.
Try downloading some free image editing software, like FastStone. Your current software is probably not saving the rotation, so the image isn't actually rotated and appears correctly only on that particular software. My phone does the same thing.

Some pics might be to large. Try cropping them a bit and it should work

Just open them in preview or whatever and flip them 360 degrees. That works for me at least.

I'm only new here and was having problems uploading pictures (they were 90°to the left), spun them 360° and cropped them and they uploaded fine.
