makes me chuckle because i literally keep logs of when i order stuff, when it ships and the day it arrives... OCD/impatience... sure, why not!

Haha, hell yeah. I just record numbers and dates, but I should start recording shipping times too.

Yes, it will give people confidence when looking to shop. Plus save people tons of time and money, instead of trying to figure out which distros are serious or not by themselves.

You can add the Goddess Of Desire Mailorder (www.goddess.nl) to the reliable ones, I've been ordering stuff from them for 5 years or so. They have a very fast shipment. In the summer their stand is touring throughout whole of Europe, standing on every big festival.
ShieldbitersValhalla on
Ah, yes. I'd forgotten about that one. I've ordered from them too. I'll add to/reorganize the list when I get a chance.
FarFarNorth on
Great idea!
You can confidently add Red Stream redstream.org to the list of reliable ones, it may be my favorite distro ever and great experience each time.
Red Stream (US):
3 - 5 day shipping to US address, shipping is free.
Paypal payment.
Ordered from them many times from 2007 to now, each time prompt shipment, well packaged CDs, 100% satisfaction.
---------
Another reliable distro is PaganFlames.com - this used to be "blackmetalDVDs.com" back in like 2003 full of bootleg concerts, but since then morphed into a mainly black and pagan themed distro with this new domain name.
PaganFlames (US)
average a week shipping to US address- again free shipping
Payments through Paypal
Been ordering from them since 2005, seems like it's just one guy running it out of his home but with 100% dedication and integrity. Always packages orders well, always on time within expected time frame.
-----------------
TrollZorn (Germany): a full scale metal distro + shop, CDs and shirts and "pagan"-historic Germanic-Nordic paraphernalia.
trollzorn.de/store
Shipping time from Trollzorn (Germany) to Iceland: about a week.
Paypal payments.
Ordered from them twice so far, but have been in touch with Stefan and Kai, the guys who run it, many more times with questions, and each time got helpful responses. Entirely legit shop and run by legit folks. They even agreed to hold one shirt for me for over a month until more stuff arrived that I planned to order too, just so it could all be mailed in one shipment and I could save on shipping. Great ordering experience, highly recommended.
I can vouch and swear by all three of the abovenamed distros, entirely trustworthy and they won my support.

I don't know how I forgot about Red Stream. Yes, that one is definitely going up there!

Ordered from them twice, completely reliable, but shipping took about a month and a week on average.

I ordered a couple of patches from there, they're reliable but the site isn't very user-friendly, I had some problems with managing the paypal cart. The guy also came across as slightly hostile to me (answering my e-mails in all capital letters). But that aside, shipping only took 2-3 weeks, so the bottom line is that they're reliable. Hope that clears things up for you Shieldbiters.

Very reliable, I ordered a shirt from there and it came in 3 weeks. Shipping internationally was just $2, I think they're offering $2 flat for shipping anywhere, could someone clear this up for me?
lak89 on
If we may, perhaps we could extend the scope of the discussion to include ebay sellers, as I feel there is one user worthy of being mentioned.
From: genxgear (US)

The merch they sell lean towards the more pricey side (depending on what's pricey for you), but shipping is extremely fast. They ship on Tuesdays and Fridays only, but I have ordered from Australia and Hong Kong, and each time it only took a week to arrive.
FarFarNorth on
Yes, genxgear is reliable.
Been ordering from them since 2004 and each time professional service. My shirts arrived folded in plastic bags, brand new official merch, they sell no bootlegs there.

Thanks for the references, I'll have to look through those! Due to the nature of eBay, I don't think it is fully necessary to list every reliable eBay seller here. Simply because that is already pretty much taken care of by eBay's own built-in feedback system. But by all means, if there is a non-eBay user distro/website you ordered from, and it went well, then I'll try to add it here.
It is a good idea though. Maybe someone else can make another forum post specifically for eBay sellers.
southerncrossripper on
Black Metal Lusitania, Supremacy through Intolerance, Warhead Metal Shop, Undercover Records and Metalboerse are all 100% reliable...
Also Terratur possessions, Nuclear War Now Prod., Heavy Steel Records, Abyss Records and Deathstrike.de

Deathgasm has also its own website distro, but an ebay storefront too. Reliable and trustworthy. I only ordered from their ebay store so far though, for the feedback benefit.
But it's easy to see on ebay who is reliable, based on feedback...

Been ordering from Joe who runs this distro for about ten years now. Another small home-run distro, but 100% dedication and reliability. Sometimes in the past when I emailed for available stock, it took a while to get a response (dude works for a living apart from running this so it can be understandable), but each time I actually placed my orders and paid, my CDs arrived promptly without delay.
This is my longest-running "buyer/seller" online distro relationship for lack of better words, and comes fully recommended.
lak89 on
Yea I agree with the feedback thing, guess I overlooked that haha
lak89 on
You can also add Bucket Of Afterbirth Productions to the list, they're reliable.

I can`t figure out anything there be cause don`t know language...

OH and haave anyone ordered from here?

Phosphorous_Redeemer on
My least favorable is redstream.org, i bought a rotting christ longsleeve with sleeve print on each sleeve, and they sent me one with sleeve print on one sleeve only. I've ordered 3-4 times from them, and it usually takes awhile, with absolutely no communication.
FarFarNorth on
Maybe shipping time depends on state to state proximity? But then they're in FL and my US contact is in IL, still got there under a week (based on orders from past couple months). Hmm communication, the one time I had a question and shot redstream an email it was answered the same day, but yeah when placing an order there's no notice to say that package has shipped, guess itΒ΄s more or less assumed.
Phosphorous_Redeemer on
I waited like 2 and a half weeks for 1 patch that i ordered from the site, but my official possessed patch i got from theur ebay came much quicker.
ShieldbitersValhalla on
I've only ordered once, and from their eBay storefront. It arrived in about a week, maybe two.

Shipping took about a week, the only thing I really didn't like was the fact that they said they would send a confirmation email saying that my order had been shipped.
Never Happened.
When I contacted asked when it would be shipped they never replied.
ShieldbitersValhalla on
Hell yeah!! In fact, I'm going through a custom order with Over-Zone right now.
Thanks! Updated.
FarFarNorth on
On Over-Zone custom embroidered patches: is their black backing material the polished 'shiny' type or the black matte type? Know what I mean? Some embroidered patches have the look as if they're sewn on black polyester, while others have that black matte that really makes the white threads stand out (like the logo patches that TrollZorn sells, for example). Wondering what patch material OverZone uses. Thinking to employ a custom patchmaker soon.
ShieldbitersValhalla on
I think I know what you're talking about. If you look at my vest, you can see that some of the patches have a sort of shine to them, it's like when you look at them up close, it's as if they are made of a bunch of little beads or something. The Gorefest strip is a good example. The Striborg and Horn patches actually came from Over-Zone; their shine can be seen a little. That is the type of patch that Over-Zone embroiders logos into.
http://tshirtslayer.com/item/shieldbiters-vest-18apr2011
Also, I think the black matte type of backing you're talking about is like the Equilibrium patch. That one actually did come from TrollZorn. So that photo should give a pretty good comparison, since both sorts of patches you are talking about are in the same photo with the same lighting.
VoiceOfTheSoul on
I haven't looked @ my smaller patches hard enough, but I was slightly surprised w/ my backpatch due to how shiny the back was.
I ordered the Slayer, Wehrmacht and Death patches from overzone http://tshirtslayer.com/patch/recent-purchases
EDIT: I just realized you said Custom patches, I have no information on that and can't help you there.
FarFarNorth on
cool, thanks guys that helped. The embroidered patches on my (still in theoretical planning stage) battle jacket will be riding next to a printed backpatch with black border, and seems like the less "shiny" factor in embroidered backing material the better, or else the different shades of black will really clash instead of merge into a single background blackness. Gonna give it more thought... But good feedback for OverZone spells quality which is equally important.
lak89 on
That's great about Overzone, I have an order on hold with them at the moment and communication is just excellent.
Giggity666 on
I am never gonna purchase at Unique Leader anymore i waited fucking 5 months and they have send me the wrong stuff and the promised me to send some other stuff because they were sorry . and thats like 1 month ago they are fucking retards ....
ShieldbitersValhalla on
Alright, I put them in a "mixed feedback list", because someone else said that they had a pretty good experience with them.

Ah sorry to hear about that.

I actually made an order in around July 2011, but there was some sort of error, and my order wasn't processed at all. I eventually sent an e-mail around mid-October, and got a quick reply. After receiving my e-mail, the guy realized what had happened. The item I had ordered was officially no longer in stock at that point and he was ok with an exchange/refund, although he did end up looking through all of his boxes and found a copy of the item I was looking for. Very good communication, and highly recommended. Instead of being some kind of sleezy asshole, he actually went and looked to make sure if it was there or not, which I was particularly impressed with.
