Most of us cut the sleeves off our jackets outside the hem, right?
My jacket that I've had since 93 fits great except that the shoulders overhang by a few centimetres (like 2-3cm). I don't want to find a new jacket coz I'm attached to mine and it's got hand painted stuff on it etc, so I'm wondering if anyone has any words or advice on cutting further in from the hemline, effectively cutting the hem/seem off entirely....
Is it going to fuck up my jacket?
I don't know if I should cut it, or just live with the slight overhang on the shoulders.
Cheers!

If you cut past the seam it will start to fringe and deteriorate on the edges if that's your thing then go for it. try folding the seams inward to see how much of the seam you want to cut off or if it will interfere with the artwork on it.

I wouldn't worry about it because as THMManiac said, it will fringe and could permanently screw up the artwork on your jacket.

It only MIGHT ruin the artwork. the one guy made it sound like theres no way out of ruining it, this is only true if your artwork takes up the entire back of the vest. If you have like 2-3 inches of denim space between the artwork and the edge of the vest, theres no way the jacket is going to fringe that far into the back and you should be good.....
