A lot of people from my area associate me with this vest because this is the one everyone met me in. Fun Fact, this was never my vest to begin with. It belonged to someone I use to talk to before it became mine.
10 years ago, I asked a friend of mine if she wanted a Slayer patch I had. She accepted my offer. After I gave it to her, she asked me why am I giving stuff away like that. Then that's when she found out that I didn't have a vest. She was surprised by that because, in her mind, every metalhead needs one. So she told me she'll give me one of hers. At first, she lagged on it and kept saying she'll bring it. Then one day she told me to come to a Football game.
Since she showed up late, she forgot the vest. After the game, I walked her home. Once we got to her place, she told me to wait outside. Less than 3 minutes, she came out with the vest. Before she gave it to me, she asked me if I wanted to hangout for a bit. I was down, so we walked for a bit until we reached a spot. It's a memorable moment that I would never forget and wish I can relive.
It didn't end there. After I used my Reign In Blood Shirt as a backpatch, all that was left from the shirt was the printed Slayer logo on the back. My friend took that logo for herself.
I never had a chance to work on it at my own pace because my friend also rushed me into making it. Even after 10 years, I never gave up on it, so I was finally able to give it the justice it deserves with the updates I've made.
