i knew it was your jacket couse i noticed the Slayer Logo on the other jacket.. :)
wonder for how long you're still able to keep it look white. youre already failing at parts.
Would you send me a link with the instructions you used? I found a lot of instructions, but a lot of them are different and since your result seems to be pretty amazing, I would just try the same way.
Heh, I didn't actually use any instructions, I just figured it out by experimenting several times (bleach is really cheap). Anyways, here's how I finally did it:
You should start out with a jacket that's in good condition, as a worn out jacket will just disintegrate during bleaching. Also, the jacket shouldn't be very dark to begin with, to minimalize the amount of time it will need to be in contact with the chemicals.
Use a 10 liter plastic bucket or something similar. Pour 1 liter of bleach in the bucket, and pour in some water until you've filled about half of the bucket. Put the jacket in the bucket, and then fill more water until it covers the jacket. Let the jacket stay in the bucket for one hour, and then pick it up from the bucket (IMPORTANT:Â wear rubber gloves) and check how pale it has become. If you're not satisfied, put it back in and let it stay another hour. I think I let mine bleach for about 3 hours total. Don't let it stay too long, or the bleach will destroy the fabric.
After you're done you have to rinse the jacket in the shower to get the bleach out, and then wash it to make sure it's 100% done. Dispose of the bleach safely in the sink, it's a strong chemical and shouldn't just be thrown outside.

Yeah, it's already got some dirt spots from partying too hard :) But I of course had that in mind when I decided to make a white vest.

Nice! If u stick with black/red patches on the white vest it will look killer!

Yeah, I'm mostly going for the black/white/red theme, but I will have exceptions too.

Superb vest, bro! I already love it, and can't wait to see it's development. Especially that Dissection patch is sick!
I'm planning on doing a white jacket, aswell (as an on-stage-outfit). Did you bleach it yourself, or did you buy it in that color?
PForx on
Thanks man! Yes, I did indeed bleach it myself. Pretty easy, just find some instructions online.

It's even better now, I'm working towards an update. It's not studded yet though, but it will happen in the future.
