Blind Guardian My jacket, a gallery of precious memories and musical evolution

My jacket represents the ongoing musical journey I have embarked on for the past 20 years. There are some bands I don’t listen to that often anymore, but I would be lying if I’d say they weren’t crucial for the evolution of my musical taste.

The result is a varied bunch, to say the least. From the world famous (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Rammstein,...) to the obscure (Obsequiae, Wraith Knight, Kirkwood,...), they all deserve a place on my jacket. Some might think the combination is weird, and that’s fair. Still, I tried to compose a jacket which makes sense color-wise. There’s room for more, especially in the front, but I’d like to retain the feeling of wearing a jacket, not a patchwork. I’ll probably add a couple of more smaller patches or pins in the future, but I won’t overdo it.

Important note: I didn’t sew it myself; most of that honor goes to my beloved wife.
