Black Sabbath Black & White Sabbath

Decided to make another lightweight everyday vest. This time dedicated to everyone's favorite - Black Sabbath.
Bit of background: workmate of mine was ordering some clothing from one store and he asked me to check out if there's anything I want so he could get free delivery. I checked and found some Black Sabbath stuff - patches on front, purple metal pin and backpatch.
Now my mess of a main vest is already packed so I decided to make another lightweight one akin to my Sleep vest.

I first thought of getting black denim best because, duh, Black Sabbath, but for some reason my mind conjured image of white denim vest. After thinking a bit more where I may able to get one I remembered this one green Stoner vest found here and took inspiration from it.

So I decided to try bleaching one myself. Found nice looking denim shirt which was far too big for my puny frame so I just it sew shorter to my liking and cut off the sleeves.
I first tried bleaching with just the cut-off sleeves to see how it goes and after that I bleached the vest itself - 10 liter plastic vat filled with cold water, around 0,4L of bleach and about 48 hours of waiting with some tossing, turning and squeezing every now and then. After that multiple rinses and washes to get the bleach off and air drying.

Then to sewing and agonising wait for those six album patches and two metal pins.
I'm happy with the final result, it's not pearly white of course but I like the sloppy, uneven coloring.
