Tell us about yourself?:

born 1993 belgium, west flanders. very broad taste: from classic blues and rock to extreme metal and hardcore, rnb soul funk hiphop, jazz, 80s pop and new wave, french chansons, electronic drum and bass, techno, trance.

""influenced"" by grand theft auto radio stations, tony hawk's pro skater, guitar hero and beavis and butthead. never bought cd's of my own because my brother always got them. my first mp3 pirate was probably judas priest 'electric eye' and 'heavy metal'. always had a few band shirts, i've got around 6 that still fit.

a few of my favourites are kyuss, mastodon, white zombie, metallica, obituary, pantera. for metal i prefer thrash, groove, stoner and sludge, and riff-based death. obey the riff.

so always been a fan of rock and metal really, but with some pauses inbetween. i've only been getting into the extremer variants since a year or three. like dying fetus, benediction, carcass, cannibal corpse. so now we're doing a metal festival each year with the boys, and i was inspired by all the different jackets at the festivals. so i started one and i have already bought too many patches (close to 100), so i'll make another one after.

i don't know or lived the metal culture, but i like the music, the history, the sound and atmosphere, and the theme and aesthetic

i wanna look at stuff for a while so it seems appropriate to make an account and maybe post or leave a comment here or there once in a while

Do you goto any festivals or shows?:

i've done around 20 festivals altogether and a few shows. all belgium. 6x dour, 3x graspop, 2x alcatraz, 3x rock werchter, 3x pukkelpop, then a bunch of smaller ones. electronic a few bigger events like ilovetechno, 10 days off techno, rampage, for drum and bass, i think like 50-60 nights. so only a few exclusively hard rock or metal festivals. i go to clutch in december and to system of a down with qotsa and acid bath in june in paris.

festivals in belgium are generally a nice experience and graspop and alcatraz are nicely organized. graspop is live nation so both gmm and alcatraz compete against each other regarding the band signings...
