Enslaved was my first black metal band I heard (excluding hearing random Cradle of Filth songs on the radio when I was a kid), Vikingligr Veldi being my introduction to black metal and I could not have asked for a better start into my now favorite genre. Hordanes Land shares that same style of dark, mystical viking black metal, and is almost equally fantastic. I was so happy to see this shirt get a reprint, I bought it immediately, and I wear it constantly
I got it from their webstore. And I honestly love the majority of Enslaved albums. Their are like three of their prog ones that I don't care for too much but the rest are just genius
''Vikingligr veldi'' has to be my most favorite album of theirs.Simply cause it has everything that makes an album great! Also it gives you the necessary goosebumps.EPIC moments aren't hidden in the tracks. It is just pure masterclass writing process.
I had one chance to see them perform live in the erea, but i didn't go.It was just in the beginning of their progressive path, and already figured the set would exist out of the new tracks,so boring stuff.
I own their 2nd live DVD as well though. It only exists out of the 2nd period of the band.Seriously boring stuff! Great musicianship though.
Couldn't agree more.I have the live DVD ''Live retaliation'' .Awesome to see Dirge Rep bashing the drums! Great show!He should stick with the band.I think the sound would be different as well somehow.
True...their suckage started first and foremost by dropping out from the metal scene. Sure they have the distorted guitars and occasional blast beats but there is no darkness or sharpness that even lighter metal bands have. Looks like they attempted to expand their horizons to fans of other genres...

Awesome!Where did you get that one?
Me and Enslaved always had a love-hate relationship.Sometimes i cant stand the band, and other times its the greatest music i ever heard.

Agreed, I don't get what's so "prog" about the newer albums anyway, it just seems to be a euphemism for boring crap that drones on forever
