The very first printing of the Starspawn longsleeve by Dark Descent Records. I remember reading drama online of people not understanding the use of mustard yellow ink on merch. When I got mine, I was pleasantly surprised how good it looked since it's more of an alien green. When I saw my friend's from the same pressing (also pictured here) I realized what people meant.
So my camera just doesn't capture how nice this shade of green is. The album cover art is much darker too, and looks much better in my opinion.
Notice the album title is slightly out of alignment on mine compared to the intended colors. I always thought that was intentional and a cool shadowing effect with the green color. Turns out it was out of alignment! But if I can see that green at all, and with the album art being darker, does that mean the print shop used this alien green in place of the white base? So they just hit the sleeves with the base instead of trying to put yellow overtop the white base like on the correct pressing.
Whatever the case, I like it. I've had a lot of BI designs through the years I eventually sold, but can't let go of this one.
