Back when I was younger, I didn't care if it was Van Halen or Van Hagar, I enjoyed it. OU812 was my favorite VH record at one point believe it or not. But then I realized that Van Hagar wasn't Van Halen so for about 3 to 4 years I was devoted to the Diamond Dave era (even after he did blow the Van Halen reunion show). Well, come this year and it turns out my girlfriend really enjoys this record. At first I just shrugged it off with the "it's because you're a girl and there's synths" excuse but I saw this for a decent price at a record store and decided to pick it up. And I remember why I loved it so much when I was younger haha. No it's definitely not the same band (just like Sabbath wasn't the same band with Dio and AC/DC wasn't the same band with Brian Johnson) but it's still good. Gonna try to get this signed by Sammy when I see him in the end of June.
Judas Priestess on
As much as I like Dave, I would rather have Sammy back in the band today.
