Morbid Angel Grindcrusher: What every growing boy needs

Nothing much to say about this release, except that it quite seriously changed my life. I stole a copy of this cassette from my eldest sister's bedroom when I was in the 8th grade (anyone who has older/younger siblings into music knows how that goes), and to my younger and less cynical brain, (which had only been exposed to classic heavy/power metal, mostly bad alternative metal, and a small handful of extreme metal stalwarts), this album was a revelation. Sadly, I loaned it to a school friend the same year and never got it back.

Needless to say, I was very happy to find another copy of this tape at a record store a couple of hours from where I live. Finding it again was like being reunited with a long-lost part of my youth. Totally essential!

Favorite songs back then were probably the ones from Naked City, Unseen Terror, Sore Throat and Napalm Death.

Never heard of this comp until now... wow that track listing is a doozy. Thanks for sharing this. 4 flames for celery + 1 flame for the tape.

It's a classic, though I suppose the original Grindcrusher comp. from ~1989 is the more "culturally recognized" one. I prefer this version.

and also true, the cd probably defined my teenage years and my lasting affinity for earache

yeah fukn excellent tape, indeed I could only get hold of the 9-track mosh 12 on vinyl but without the 7inch, do have the yellow CD to go with it at least

and yeah, must love that naked city too!

I'd love to track down a copy of the original vinyl, if only for the 7".
