You have probably heard the story before,
but when the CD disc was introduced.
Some of us thought that it was a great idea to sell our vinyls
that took so much place and buy the CD instead.
Well i sold about 200-300 records before i realized what the fuck i was doing,
and some records i will never buy back because they are to damn expensive these days,
for example: Mayhem Deathcrush and Bathory the yellow goat, yes both original first press AND i bought them directly from my old friend Pelle aka Dead when he was still the singer in Morbid!
But...Some records find their way back to me like this beauty that i found in London 2013...
Fuck i have really missed this one over the years. And now it´s home again!
First press and everything just like it was before : )=

Killer lp !!!! Nice story; glad i never sold my vinyls..... yes, i still have my Deathcrush Posercorpse copy; on the other hand i never had a Bathory yellow goat :(....... anyway, the bad thing these days is not only that originals are ridiculous expensive; but there are ( for both examples) bootlegs that almost can't be seperated from the originals... it's of course all about the music, but i hate this ripp-off bussiness !!!

Yeah i agree with you,
i bought a bootleg of the yellow goat in London for 10 pound,
and you really can´t tell the difference...
Cheers!

I have a very good friend that has a great motto: You can sell everything but you don't sell your record collection. I always followed that!!!

Hehe great story and classic album, sad to hear that u sold 200-300 LP's and i wasn't around :P
I am not that old to have had a solid record collection when cd's became popular but i know a lot of people who did the same as you did.
Needless to say they have regret it... A LOT!
Hopefully all the stuff you sold will return to their rightful owner, sooner or later.

great record. btw. Years ago a guy told me that he gave all vinyl away (around 1990)... for really nothing or very cheap (I think it were around 150LP).

That happened all the time around 90-91, i hope that the once who got a hold of them is grateful these days...
Cheers mate!
