mainly with Dave yes. Back in days, when i was running Metalprovider.com and he tried to make a 'encyclopedia-like' database for Xtreemmusic, only for thrash and old death metal stuff, we were helping each other with cover scans, tracklists..etc. :)
I got some Xtreemmusic-promos in reverse to feature all the bands on Metalprovider...and so on :)

Dave removed his kind of database, because of missing time do the activitys with Avulsed and Xtreemmusic (years ago arldy!) ....and Metalprovider ...well....the raw version of my Encyclopedia is still there....but without the search-functions etc we had in the past. ....the funny thing is...i started years ago..before this metal-encyclopedia came around the corner....there u can still find pics of covers/demos/singles...which are stolen from Dave and/or me .....i dont like this site...fuck it...

Echt? Also ich nutze die Seite nur sehr selten für Infos... vermutlich haben die im www nach Bildern gesucht ohne auf Urheberrecht o.ä. zu achten... warn das exclusive Bilder?
Ist halt schon sehr (Zeit-) aufwendig so ne Seite, muss ja auch dauernd aktualisiert werden! Nicht schlecht aber, da wart ihr ja so ne Art Vorreiter! Cool!

Vieles war exlusiv, mehr oder weniger. Ich hatte mit sehr vielen Bands direkt Kontakt, die haben mir alle möglichen Cover und Infos geschickt. Viele Bands haben mich auch direkt angeschrieben ob ich sie denn bitte auch in die Datenbank mitaufnehmen würde..haha... Tjo ..Vorreiter.., wir waren damals einfach die einzigen!
Angefangen einfach als Webspace-Provider für Metalseiten, weil die ganzen Werbe-Banner die Yahoo und all die anderen hatten einfach NICHT METAL waren..hahaha...
Um das Ganze attraktiver zu machen hab ich angefangen mit der Enzyklopädie. ...wir waren echt bekannt damals...Canada, USA, Brasilien, auch alle möglichen Länder im Ostblock.....war cool damals.

Hab vor einiger Zeit was bei einem Bulgaren gekauft über Ebay, der hat meinen 'Nickname' gesehen und mich gefragt ob ich den von DEN Metalprovidern sei..haha..., irre..der konnte sich immer noch an uns erinnern. ...wie auch immer..hahaha ;)
