Arcturus - Aspera Hiems Symfonia (special leatherbound edition) vinyl LP.

Ok, first off let me start by saying that these pictures DO NOT do this LP justice AT ALL. I am not a professional photographer, and since it is raining the lighting in here is fucking terrible, even with the lights on. I tried everything... unfortunately that shiny silver printing on the artwork and inner printing just doesn't work well with my camera. But trust me, this thing is fucking beautiful! Moving on...

Recently Kyrck Productions and Armour released what is (in my opinion) the first proper vinyl pressing of Arcturus’ black metal masterpiece “Aspera Hiems Symfonia.”

It had been released as a remixed and remastered 2LP compilation album in 2002, which also contained “Constellation” and “My Angel.” This release never felt or looked right to me. It kind of felt like a cop-out since the only vinyl pressing of the original album was on a picture disc.

This is the special silverprint leatherbound edition with different artwork than the original. This one is limited to just 100 copies.

I’d like to thank Arcturus for accepting this glorious release with this label!!!

If you could see it in person you'd like it even more! Honestly, I'm not exaggerating, the pictures for this one SUCK.

The silver print is nice and bright! Beautiful really.

You hit the nail right on the head, hehe. It has both lyrics (not of all songs, but who cares) and a special rare old photograph of each band member.

There's Garm singing, Skoll playing his bass, Hellhammer setting up his drum set, etc. I wanted to take pictures of each page but the booklet is so small that it wouldn't stay open. I am alone here so I couldn't get anybody to open it for me.

Thanks man! This is one of my top favorite albums so it's always nice to see what others think.

It doesn't really affect how I feel about the band or the release, but hey... it's just interesting.

This is my favorite release from arcturus. very unique and atmospheric, and hasn't lost my interest throughout the years. really cool its gotten a proper re-release on vinyl

Yeah I have to agree on that, it was about time for a good release on vinyl. Now all I need is for Lamented Souls to at least release The Origins of Misery on vinyl as well.

I can't personally call any Arcturus release their best release, because since Arcturus is one of my favorite active bands (along with Darkthrone) I feel as though that would be a crime. I do have a favorite though, La Masquerade Infernale.

But honestly, I have such high respect and admiration for everything they have done that I will forever be grateful for each and every one of their releases. That includes their DVD, haha.
