VAN HALEN "Jump" cut-out strip felt patch, vintage. It comes from a deadstock: it's as new.
This one is a bit of an enigma to me: it's printed on black felt, with a hem on the bottom only. The other sides have been probably cut with a pair of scissors. One would be tempted to think it's an old backpatch that has been cut, but there's no lining on the reverse, just plain black felt. Plus I don't know of any Van Halen's back patch in this material and with this design, plus the position of this design on the bottom would have been awkward anyway. I'm close to think that it's what it is: a cheaply produced strip patch - the design being printed multiple times on a large piece of hemmed felt, and then cut out. [Edit Sept. 23rd 2013: I just found a picture of a similar BÖC patch, which seem to confirm my idea: http://pmcdn.priceminister.com/photo/patch-blue-oyster-cult-890763088_ML... ] What is sure is that it's vintage, coming from a deadstock from the 80s.
Dimensions: W 25,5 cm x H 10 cm.
Doesn't look half bad. Just get someone handy with a sewing machine like bayernpirat to hem the rest of the edges and its good.

Could do, but it's for sale/trade so I'd rather keep it in its latest-original state for now.
