Here is what Elisa at Over-zone.com has drafted up. This is 9cm x 9cm - a pretty standard square size patch. She thinks it looks great and is excited to make it. Once Dr. Death gives his approval and figures out the logistics of how it will sold we can move forward. I forget who drew up the original artwork - but I'm guessing they will have to give their permission to use this.
I'm guilty of drawing the original :) nice to hear she likes the design. is the vest going to be embroidered gray in between the white outline in this setup? I originally envisioned it as only the white outline being embroidered but it might look pretty cool if the rest of the jacket is embroidered in very dark gray of even black... some sort of 3d relief effect I guess. as far as permission from my side goes, I drew it so that it could be used if approved by the Doctor, so it was already granted :)
well in this mockup the vest itself (not the white outline) looks like its been embroidered in gray while in my original idea it would have been the white outline only :P I think that might look a bit better/cleaner.
but if many people want it to be gray that's also fine by me, because in the end it's not my patch but the patch of our community :)
If there has to be a vest on the patch, grey does look better. Looks more like grey denim instead of the tuxedo look that only white on black outline suggests.
i propose making a limited edition numbered run in gold.
and to make another variation for the 5 year anniversary, possibly with a number 5 on the jacket?

either would be cool, but iirc, its more expensive to use 2 different colours of thread, so totally gold would be cheaper. but both would look good. How about try it out on photoshop first?
4 Jan 2012 update - I've put Dr. Death in contact with Eliza from www.over-zone.com. We will let them work the details. I trust the good Dr. to finalize any details he wants. I will be buying a handful no matter what. Each of mine will get one.
This is cool. If no logo-only patches are printed then so be it I guess, though I may end up sticking this patch halfway under another one so only the logo sticks out. But on the OTHER hand... having that pictured vest in grey color allows for miniscule patch drawing customization with a black sharpie :D If I end up having enough space for the whole TS patch not to cover it up, I will sure as hell be drawing tiny logo patches on there.
Another thing, sould stock up on TshirtSlayer stickers and give what ever amount to whomever orders a patch(es), so able to place stickers at concerts etc etc, to spread the word of site. Jussayin
My 2 cents on this. Maybe a version with just the logo and Est. 2007. Not that the drawing isn't great it's just "kill your darlings" - "less = more" :)

Obviously the real patch will not be pixilized as this rendering.

The logo and the "est. 2007" would be good enough.

Excellent. So now we just wait on the good doctor. Do you want to keep the gray or put it back to white?

9 cm x 9 cm, but she should be able to make any size you want.
