MERCYFUL FATE Don't Break The Oath / King Diamond on stage vintage backpatch (1984)
It's been used in the past - lateral edges had been folded, probably for it to fit between the seams of a jacket's back, before being sewn on. It was also thumb tacked to some hard surface at some point in its history (thumb tack prints, folds and needle holes still visible, as per pictures).
To quote one of the most knowledgeable Mercyful Fate / King Diamond collectors: "this is probably the rarest Mercyful Fate patch, it has been issued at US, it's artwok is amazing (it uses DBTO with a Ray Palmer's Kerrang classical photo), and it's a very large piece, unused; this artwork was issued as a t-shirt at least in France" (http://www.mercyfulfate.org/privatecollection/mercyfulfate/memorabilia/p...)
I'd assume this backpatch was issued in France too, since it comes from a French collector.

Cheers! A great one indeed. And probably one of the most sought after.
