New (2011, left) and old (1988, right) Iron Maiden 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son' inner LP sleeve woven patches.

The difference in quality between old and new patches always amazes me - really, the new ones SHOULD be better (surely there could have been some improvements in manufacturing techniques in the last 20 years?!) but in reality the old school patches from the 80s and 90s are SO much nicer.

Just look at the difference in clarity between the crystal balls and Eddie's face on these patches, for instance.

The 2011 patch has recently been removed from my blue battle jacket (http://tshirtslayer.com/battle-jacket/clairvoyants-blue-battle-jacket-2n...); the 1988 one will be going onto it shortly!

so so true words..i think the same most of time..the technics must be so much better now..but the patches looks worst.., dont get it.
